The Santa Clara Pueblo Housing Authority offers the following Homeownership Programs:
MUTUAL HELP OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT (MHOA)
- Provides housing services to eligible low-income families through its Mutual Help Occupancy Agreement.
- This program leads to homeownership signing a MHOA document
- This program is an equivalent to a lease with an option to own
- Homeowners have the responsibility to maintain the unit and make timely housing payments
- SCPHA conducts annual inspections and certifications of homes
LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT
- This is equivalent to the MHOA. However, housing participants signed a Lease Purchase Agreement (LPA).
- Homeowners have the responsibility to maintain the unit and make timely housing payments
- SCPHA does not conduct annual inspections and certifications of homes
MODERNIZATION PROGRAM
- Assistance is provide to rehabilitate SCPHA managed housing units when there is a health and safety threat.
- Based on a housing needs assessment reports, the annual Indian Housing Plan (IHP) modernization program plan outlines rehabilitation activities to be provided for qualified homes.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Santa Clara Pueblo Housing Authority (SCPHA) provides a year long program for all youth of Santa Clara Pueblo such as:
- Summer basketball tournament
- Bike racing
- Xmas home decoration contest
- Xmas Cookies contest
- Conference and meeting facilities to eligible tribal programs
- Annual summer cleaning, South Subdivision
- Credit Counseling
- Workshop for Home maintenance
