Governing Body for Santa Clara Pueblo Housing Authority (SCPHA)

Santa Clara Pueblo Housing Authority (SCPHA) is a Tribal Designated Housing Entity (TDHE) under the Tribal Council Resolution No. 96-22. The Board of Commissioners are a legislative and policy making board and have the full authority in managing the performance and operations of the Housing Authority and have the accountability to the Tribal Members and the Santa Clara Tribal Council.

CHAIRMAN

Jesse Gutierrez

Chairman Gutierrez is an enrolled member of Santa Clara Pueblo. He is currently working for the SCP Rights Protection/THPO office as the Land and Water Resources Tech. He has served on the Tribal Council as a Council Representative for many years. He also has served as an Chair for the SCP Clinic Heath Board, Non-Member Residency Committee and served as a Tribal Council Liaison for the Khapo Community School Board. ​

Martin Shupla

​Martin Shupla is an enrolled member of Santa Clara Pueblo. Since 2023, he has worked as the Library Director at Northern New Mexico College. Before this, he worked as a librarian for various municipal and county governments in Texas for twenty years. In his previous role as the Library Director for the City of Pasadena, TX, he managed a team of 40 individuals across two locations.
